The new operating system should reach the existing Nexus devices in the coming weeks, and if the schedule from the Canadian carrier Telus is to be believed, the new operating system should start rolling out from October 5th, at least for users tied to the carrier.

The schedule posted by the carrier lists Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 to be the first devices which will get the new operating system in the first week of October. However, the carrier did mention that the date is not final, and is subject to change if things have don’t go as planned.

As for the new devices, Google is expected to release two new Nexus devices, the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, which will be the first devices to ship with the new operating system.

We’ll update you as soon as we get any other details about the roll out of Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Nexus as well as other Android devices.
